Sespe Hot Springs
Sespe Hot Springs is a remote set of rock-lined pools in the Sespe Wilderness, reached only by trail. The shortest route is about 9.5 miles each way, so most visitors make it an overnight trip.

Good to know. The source water comes out near boiling, so test pools before getting in; the Forest Service says there is no water and little shade for the first seven miles of trail.
In any natural hot spring, keep your head above the water. Health officials advise it because of a rare amoeba that can enter through the nose.
New to hot springs? A slow soak is a five-step way to enjoy the water safely.
